Conference Speakers Elmer ColyerB.S., University of Wisconsin
Dr. Colyer is an ordained United Methodist Pastor and Elder in the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served churches in Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Iowa. A summa cum laude student in college and seminary, he received his Ph.D. from Boston College/Andover Newton in 1992. In addition to published articles and reviews in journals, including Scottish Journal of Theology, Pro Ecclesia, Religious Studies Review, and Christianity Today, Dr. Colyer edited Evangelical Theology in Transition: Theologians in Dialogue with Donald Bloesch and The Promise of Trinitarian Theology: Theologians in Dialogue with T. F. Torrance. Dr. Colyer is author of How to Read T.F. Torrance: Understanding His Trinitarian and Scientific Theology and The Nature of Doctrine in T. F. Torrance’s Theology.
